Mr Karim Abdallah is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist and Endometriosis Specialist based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with over 18 years of dedicated clinical expertise. He holds a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of endometriosis and pelvic pain and is a core member of the accredited Sheffield Endometriosis Centre. An expert in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, he is also the Lead for Benign Gynaecology Robotic Surgery at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

A Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Mr Abdallah provides comprehensive care for a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, fibroids, and ovarian cysts. He offers both medical and surgical management of heavy and painful periods, tailoring treatment plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of each patient.

He is highly skilled in both diagnostic and operative hysteroscopic procedures, helping women manage conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding and structural abnormalities with accuracy and compassion. As a certified Robotic Gynaecological Surgeon, he applies cutting-edge techniques to ensure optimal outcomes and faster recovery times for his patients.

Mr Abdallah holds a master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a diploma in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery. He is actively involved in research on endometriosis and pelvic pain and is committed to education and mentorship as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield and a Medical Appraiser.

He is a member of several professional organisations, including the British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE), the European Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE), and the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (BIARGS). He also serves on the BSGE Endometriosis Centres Subcommittee, contributing to national standards and service development.

Outside of his NHS work, Mr Abdallah sees private patients at BMI Thornbury Hospital and Spire Claremont Hospital. He is dedicated to delivering personalised, evidence-based care in a supportive and respectful environment.
