Mr Abdallah will take a detailed history of your symptoms and listen to your concerns. An internal pelvic examination may be required. If you have had investigations previously performed, those will be reviewed and if additional or up-to-date investigations are required those will be discussed with you. A follow up appointment may be required to allow a full assessment of your condition.
Are investigations required?
If you have previously had investigations performed to assess the same health concern please provide a copy if available. Additional or up-to-date investigations may be required depending on the clinical assessment of your condition. If so, those will be discussed with you during your consultation.
Will I have a chance to think about my treatment options?
It can sometimes be an overwhelming amount of information that you are given during your consultation and occasionally you may find yourself unable to make an instant decision on treatment options. In this case, you will be provided with all relevant written information to help you make a decision in your own time and a follow up consultation will be arranged to discuss your decision.
What if I need a surgery?
If surgery is required, Mr Abdallah will discuss the surgery in detail with you including what to expect, recovery time and follow up plans. You will have enough time to ask questions and express any concerns you might have.
I can’t attend in person; can I have my consultation over the phone?
Mr Abdallah is happy to offer telephone consultations if that is more convenient for you. If a physical examination is felt necessary to plan your management, Mr Abdallah will discuss this with you and arrange a follow up appointment accordingly.
Do I need to have a referral from my GP?
Not necessary. However, if you do have copies of your previous investigations or relevant correspondences related to your current health concern, please bring those along with you.
Can I use my private healthcare insurance?
Mr Abdallah is recognised by all reputable health care insurers in the UK. please check with the booking team when you make your appointment.
